Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder I (Critical Care).

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and sequence ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS codes from patient medical records for submission
• Review and submit encounters related to evaluation & management and procedures while maintaining quality standards
• Navigate electronic medical records and collaborate with the Accounts Receivable Team on insurance follow-ups

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 1 year of relevant coding experience
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and data management
• Understanding of insurance denials and CMS guidelines related to coding
