Certified Medical Coder III

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Medical Coder III to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize encoder and grouper software to assign accurate ICD-10 codes from medical records
• Code various case types including Maternity, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and Surgical cases
• Maintain coding productivity and quality benchmarks as per established policies

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in health information technology or related field, or equivalent experience
• Six years of hospital/facility-based coding experience
• Current coding certification (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, or CCS-P) required
• Ability to pass a coding exam with at least 85% accuracy prior to hire
• Preferred training in 3M encoder and EPIC Electronic Health Record
