Certified Medical Coding Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Instructor to train students in Medical Coding through a remote, part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage courses and exams, providing innovative content coaching
• Assist students through tutoring appointments and online messaging via the LMS
• Collaborate with the Curriculum Department to conduct Academic Reviews and ensure content relevance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology or a closely related field
• At least 5 years of full-time work experience in the Medical Coding field
• Knowledge and experience with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
• Degree must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or equivalent
