Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical coding for various specialties, ensuring compliance with coding standards
• Utilize coding concepts such as CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCC for accurate documentation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and participate in ongoing education

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with medical coding education or an active coding certification
• Minimum of one year of progressive coding experience
• Experience with coding concepts including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCC
• Certification as a CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, or CCA required; CRC, RHIT, or RHIA preferred within one year of hire
• Associate degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
