Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize encoder and coding resources to determine appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Apply knowledge of coding initiatives and regulatory requirements to select appropriate codes and modifiers
• Resolve pre-bill claim edits to ensure accurate claims before submission to Billing or payers

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent and medical coding education required, or an active coding certification in lieu of education
• Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
• 1 year of progressive coding experience required
• 2 years of progressive coding experience in multiple specialties preferred
• Various coding certifications required upon hire (e.g., CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCA, etc.)
