Certified Medical Coding Specialist
Job Summary
To support a busy radiology practice, the full-time Certified Medical Coding Specialist will ensure accurate and timely coding of exams using ICD-10 and CPT codes, working primarily in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Code exams accurately and efficiently for multiple reading locations
- Maintain a coding accuracy rate of 5% or less while processing approximately 500 reports daily
- Conduct analysis and research to resolve coding discrepancies
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Coding Certification (CPC) required
- 3+ years of experience in medical coding preferred
- Familiarity with RadPayor, MedInformatics, and Waystar is a plus
