Certified Medical Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

To lead and coordinate team activities in a full-time remote capacity, the Certified Medical Coding Supervisor will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely claim submission while managing daily operations and overseeing the coding and charge capture process.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, monitoring workload and productivity to achieve accuracy and compliance goals
• Coordinate coding and quality audits, ensuring adherence to governmental regulations and reporting obligations
• Train and develop team members, addressing performance issues and managing HR-related duties such as hiring and termination

Required qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field or at least 8 years of experience in provider coding or billing required
• Minimum 3 years of recent supervisory experience and 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in a multi-specialty medical practice
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent coding certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
