Job Summary

To provide high-quality visual support for medical, scientific, and academic content, the certified Medical Illustrator will work on a long-term contract basis in Houston, Texas, producing accurate illustrations while collaborating closely with faculty and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Produce medically accurate illustrations for various publications and documentation
• Manage projects from concept through final artwork, balancing multiple requests
• Collaborate with faculty and creative stakeholders to understand visual objectives

Required qualifications

• Certified Medical Illustrator credential is required
• At least 3 years of experience creating medical or scientific illustrations
• Strong portfolio demonstrating healthcare-related illustration work
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Hands-on experience with digital, vector, and 2D illustration; 3D illustration capability is a plus
