Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze protected health information according to project-specific rules
• Participate in the intake process of records and assign ICD-9/10-CM codes
• Maintain coding credentials and discuss project-related discrepancies with Team Lead(s)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in abstracting and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
• Knowledge in anatomy and physiology, pathology of disease, and medical terminology
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must possess relevant coding credentials (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS)
• Passing score on a coding assessment is required for further consideration
