Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Technician (Coder-Outpatient and Inpatient).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign codes to outpatient and inpatient services using various coding systems
  • Review health record documentation to abstract necessary medical data
  • Utilize computer systems to code, abstract, and transmit data to the national database
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • One year of experience in medical terminology and coding, or an associate's degree in health information technology
  • Completion of an AHIMA approved coding program or equivalent training
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Possession of relevant coding certifications (e.g., AHIMA or AAPC certifications)
