Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Technician - Coder In/Out.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns codes to patient care encounters and ensures proper code selection based on medical documentation
• Monitors regulatory requirements and performs comprehensive reviews of patient health records for accurate data capture
• Provides technical support and orientation for new personnel regarding coding and health record management

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• One year of experience in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical coding
• An associate's degree in health information technology or a related field with relevant coursework
• Completion of an AHIMA approved coding program or equivalent intensive coding training
• Certification in medical coding from AHIMA or AAPC is required for certain positions
