Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Coder II.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and accurately code complex medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions
  • Coordinate and review the work of subordinate employees and assist in training programs
  • Abstract data from medical records to ensure optimal reimbursement for hospital and professional charges
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High school diploma required
  • Must hold one of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or HCS-D
  • CCS certification requires one year of coding experience
  • CPC or HCS-D certification requires two years of coding experience
  • No prior experience is required for RHIA or RHIT certification holders
