Certified Observation Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Certified Observation Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for facility observations, specializing in injections and infusions, while working remotely from the US.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide accurate coding services for facility observations, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
• Apply diagnosis and procedure codes with a focus on specificity and documentation impact on reimbursement
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain certification through AAPC or AHIMA

Required qualifications:

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
