Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Scheduler/Clinical Assistant - Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule patient office visits, procedures, and operating room cases
  • Obtain and document insurance pre-authorizations and communicate necessary information to patients and clinical teams
  • Provide patient education on surgical details and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred
  • 3 years of experience in sales preferred
  • 3 years of experience in surgical counseling preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • One of the following licenses: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician (COMT), Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
