Job Summary
To support patient care in a remote setting, the Certified Ophthalmic Technician - NC will perform clinical and diagnostic duties, including patient triage, coordination of care, and documentation of findings, while working full-time Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct remote ophthalmic triage by assessing patient symptoms and determining appropriate care levels
- Coordinate patient care by collaborating with scheduling teams and responding to real-time communications regarding urgent patient needs
- Document patient encounters and clinical recommendations accurately within the electronic medical record system
Required qualifications
- Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training and certification by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO)
- No prior experience required beyond the education/training requirement
- Must be located in North Carolina to fulfill remote work requirements
