Certified Outpatient Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure high-quality coding practices, the part-time Certified Outpatient Auditor will conduct quality assurance reviews on outpatient coding specialists, provide training, and maintain productivity standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Complete quality assurance reviews for internal and external outpatient coding specialists
• Provide training and onboarding quality assurance reviews for newly hired coding consultants
• Report quality results and assist in developing quality improvement action plans for coding consultants

Required qualifications

• Possession of an approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential
• Experience with auditing coders or performing quality assurance is required
• A minimum of 4 years of coding experience; specialty experience may be preferred based on client needs
• At least 3 years of auditing experience preferred
• Availability to work M-F mornings or evenings
