Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Surgery Observation Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes for outpatient medical record documentation
• Ensures correct coding for medical, diagnostic, and surgical documentation
• Focuses primarily on outpatient surgery, wound care, and observation coding

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Coding experience Required
• Preferred experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding
• One or more certifications upon hire Required
• Preferred certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, or a Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited)
