Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Coding Coordinator for the OP Team A.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform essential job functions of a certified coder and serve as an expert within a specific coding service line
• Assist with leadership activities, orientation, and training of new and existing coding staff
• Create, update, and maintain department policies and procedures to ensure best practices are enforced

Required Qualifications

• Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification
• Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
• Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P) certification
• Relevant work experience in health information management and coding
