Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder Outpatient, Certified.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes
• Assigns charges for applicable clinics and departments
• Communicates coding, compliance, and documentation issues with management

Required Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent coding-related certification from AHIMA or AAPC
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of one coding-related certification is required
• Relevant coding experience is preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
