Job Summary
A company is looking for DoD Outpatient Coders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform multi-specialty outpatient clinic coding, including ED, minor procedures, radiology, rehabilitation, and lab encounters using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Maintain active coding credentials and produce documentation as required
- Utilize E/M leveling guidelines and coding tools such as the E/M calculator and 3M Encoder for accurate coding
Required Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of DoD or relevant coding experience
- Active certification as a coder from recognized organizations (AHIMA or AAPC)
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and reimbursement methodologies
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a US citizen and pass an initial entrance exam
