Certified Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coder to join their healthcare consulting practice remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes for Outpatient specialty and primary care encounters
• Review medical documentation for compliance with coding regulations and resolve coding edit failures
• Meet weekly productivity and quality targets while collaborating with team members

Required Qualifications

• Post-high school education in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related fields
• Two active coding certification credentials (e.g., CPC, RHIT, RHIA)
• Four years of medical coding/auditing experience in multiple specialties within the last ten years
• US Citizenship and ability to secure a DOD security clearance
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 applications
