Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coder II - REMOTE.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical documentation to assign appropriate ICD-CM and CPT codes
• Verify documentation to support assigned codes and assist in resolving incomplete records
• Maintain coding accuracy and participate in continuous coding audits and training

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Medical coding certification preferred
• Training in medical terminology from an accredited program within one year of hire
• Knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT coding systems
• Three years of medical abstraction and outpatient coding experience preferred
