Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder, Outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hospital outpatient coding for various services including ER, surgical, lab, radiology, and infusion
• Ensure timely and accurate coding of medical claims to maximize reimbursement
• Maintain current knowledge of coding rules and regulations and conduct training for staff on coding practices

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; Associate's Degree is preferred
• Two to five years of medical coding experience is required
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
