Certified Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

Seeking credentialed Outpatient Coder Specialists, the part-time remote position will focus on coding outpatient procedures and ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM and AMA CPT-4 standards, leveraging expertise in large trauma Level I facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code all outpatient procedures according to client specifications
• Abstract patient data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client policies
• Initiate physician queries and monitor regulatory changes in collaboration with the Coding Supervisor

Required Qualifications:

• Credentialed medical coder with at least 3 years of experience
• AHIMA preferred; AAPC may be considered
• CIRCC or CPC credentials for professional interventional cardiology
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA credentials with strong interventional radiology/cardiology experience
