Certified Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

Supporting multiple sites, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coder will perform complex coding analysis for Same Day Surgery cases, ensuring accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes while working remotely during flexible Monday to Friday business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Completes coding analysis of individual patient stays to ensure accurate coding
• Provides diagnoses, procedures, and relevant database information for optimal financial reimbursement
• Performs related duties as assigned within the coding team

Required qualifications

• Graduate from an associate or bachelor's degree program in health information or completion of a coding specialist program
• 3-5 years of experience in ICD-10/CPT coding
• Certification as a CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA
