Certified Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Outpatient Coder will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for outpatient diagnostic and ancillary specialties, ensuring accurate code assignment and compliance with ethical standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide coding services to support clients, including calculating ProFee and Facility E/M levels
• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, coding guidelines, and ethical standards while participating in ongoing training

Required qualifications:

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job coding experience is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and emails
• Experience with EMR and billing systems is necessary
• Must maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
