Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Outpatient Coder will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for outpatient diagnostic and ancillary specialties, ensuring accurate code assignment and compliance with ethical standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide coding services to support clients, including calculating ProFee and Facility E/M levels
- Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, coding guidelines, and ethical standards while participating in ongoing training
Required qualifications:
- Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job coding experience is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and emails
- Experience with EMR and billing systems is necessary
- Must maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
