Job Summary
To support the Outpatient Coding Division, the full-time remote Certified Outpatient Coding Auditor will manage daily audit operations, develop education initiatives, and analyze coding and documentation issues to enhance compliance and reimbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily operations of audit and education initiatives for the Outpatient Coding Division
- Analyze and resolve coding and documentation issues related to reimbursement and compliance
- Document trends in coding inaccuracies and provide recommendations for quality improvement
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in health information management or a related field preferred
- Three years of outpatient coding experience; education, training, and auditing experience preferred
- Active approved coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC upon hire
- Successful completion of Level II Pre-employment (PET) assessment prior to hire
