Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Facility SDS Coding Specialist who will provide coding services for outpatient facility charts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide CPT and diagnosis codes for outpatient facility SDS charts
• Calculate facility E/M levels and recognize critical care cases based on patient acuity
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of paid work experience in outpatient SDS coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Familiarity with EMR and billing systems
• Ability to maintain productivity and quality scores of 95% or higher
