Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding QA Specialist, Per Diem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and update coding education programs based on current guidelines and standards
• Lead training sessions and workshops on coding compliance and documentation improvement
• Conduct coding audits and provide feedback to enhance coder proficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or related field required; experience may substitute for degree
• Coding certification required (CCS-*, CPC, CPMA, CDEO, RHIA, or RHIT)
• 3+ years of coding experience; auditing or education experience preferred
• In-depth understanding of provider-based billing concepts and professional coding standards
• Strong instructional skills and ability to engage diverse learners
