Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support outpatient clinic operations, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various specialties, working remotely while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining high accuracy rates.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide coding services for outpatient clinic visits across multiple specialties
• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
• Maintain productivity and quality standards, achieving accuracy rates of 95% or higher

Required qualifications:

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job coding experience required
• Proficient in using EMR and billing systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Access to reliable internet and current coding materials, including CPT and ICD-10-CM references
• Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and quality in coding tasks
