Certified Outpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure accurate documentation
• Assign and sequence CPT and ICD-10 codes for services rendered
• Collaborate with billing staff to ensure proper payment of claims

Required Qualifications

• CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Minimum two years of coding experience related to the specialty needed
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Surgical coding experience is a plus
