Certified Outpatient ProFee Coder

Job Summary

To support healthcare providers, the part-time Outpatient Pro Fee Coder will accurately abstract physician services from medical records using ICD-10 coding standards while working remotely for 20-30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

• Utilizes technical coding expertise to review medical records and abstract physician services and diagnosis codes
• Follows Official Coding Guidelines to assign appropriate ICD-10 CM and ICD-10 codes with a minimum of 98% accuracy
• Provides documentation feedback to clients and collaborates with operational areas to resolve coding issues

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Required AHIMA or AAPC Certification - CPC, CPC-M, CPMA, CEMC, or CCS-P preferred
• 1+ years of experience in outpatient profee medical coding
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10 CM and ICD-10 coding
• Experience with Epic and proficiency in MS Office products
