Certified Pathology Coder

Job Summary

To support the Revenue Cycle department, the full-time remote Certified Pathology Coder will perform complex daily reviews of outpatient codes and charges, resolving coding errors and accurately interpreting diagnoses into CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth reviews of outpatient coding to identify and resolve errors
• Accurately interpret handwritten and typed notes/diagnoses for coding purposes
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines for CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS

Required qualifications:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
• Minimum of three years of coding experience in anatomical pathology and lab CPT and DX codes
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding applications
