Certified Patient Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure accurate reimbursement, the full-time Certified Patient Accounts Specialist will manage billing and collections, analyze payment variances, and communicate with insurance carriers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve inaccurate payments with insurance carriers and ensure compliance with payer contracts
• Analyze underpayments and overpayments to identify root causes and ensure adherence to contractual agreements
• Communicate directly with payers to follow up on outstanding claims and maintain positive relationships

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• One year of experience as a Patient Accounts Specialist I or two years in a related field
• HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification within six months of hire
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Completion of Orlando Health team member development within six months of hire
