Job Summary
Providing essential personal financial counseling services, the part-time Certified Personal Financial Counselor will support military service members and their families by delivering one-on-one counseling, conducting workshops, and developing financial education materials remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families
- Coordinate and facilitate a variety of financial management classes and workshops tailored to military lifecycle events
- Utilize virtual communication tools for counseling and maintain communication with installation leadership regarding trends and issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, or an associate degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 6 years of experience in financial counseling
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Must possess one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
