Job Summary
To support the Prior Authorization department, the full-time remote Certified Pharmacy Technician will review prior authorization requests, ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, and assist in resolving member prescription claims.
Key responsibilities
- Perform initial receipt and review of prior authorization requests against pharmacy plan criteria
- Accurately enter approvals or denials of requests and facilitate prior authorization processes
- Assist Molina member services and providers in resolving prescription claims and pharmacy service access issues
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and/or active state pharmacy technician license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
