Job Summary
Engaging with specialty members in a caring and empathetic manner, the remote Specialty Pharmacy Technician will support Specialty Clinical Pharmacists by managing inquiries, coordinating prior authorizations, and ensuring member satisfaction through effective communication and customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for members and providers regarding specialty pharmacy benefits and prior authorization requests
- Support members in specialty management programs, including coordinating prior authorizations and follow-up on medication satisfaction
- Assist Specialty Clinical Pharmacists with patient outreach, appointment scheduling, and medication adherence support
Required qualifications
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy technician role within a specialty pharmacy or managed care setting
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit design terminology
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
