Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician will manage inbound pharmacy calls, process prescription requests, and resolve medication inquiries remotely from an approved location within 50 miles of Albuquerque, NM.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit patient requests for new prescriptions and renewals accurately and timely
• Answer calls from patients and healthcare professionals, utilizing computerized prescription profiles to provide information
• Document interactions and escalate complex inquiries to pharmacists as needed

Required qualifications

• Active national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or ExCPT)
• Graduate of an academic pharmacy technician training program
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one year of customer service-related experience
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
