Certified Physician Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Coding Education Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits and analyze professional coding for accuracy across service lines
• Develop and present educational programs to improve coding practices among physicians and staff
• Maintain a 90% coding accuracy rate and provide statistical reports on coding efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree required, or five years of related work experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 5-6 years of professional coding experience, including various specialties
• Must maintain one of the specified national coding certifications
• Proficient in CPT-4, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and HCPCS coding principles
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
