Certified Profee Coder

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated Certified Profee Coder, the full-time remote position will manage high-volume coding for a busy family practice clinic, focusing on diagnostic and procedure coding in accordance with national guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information
• Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic medical records, ensuring completeness
• Provide quality assurance for medical records, ensuring compliance with coding regulations and standards

Required qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent experience in E/M Family Practice coding
• Current certification through AAPC or AHIMA
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping
• Six months of professional coding services or related healthcare experience
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as recommended by relevant associations
