Certified Profee Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Certified Profee Coding Specialist will work remotely, providing CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across various specialties including Primary Care, Trauma, Neuro, and Orthopedic, while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining high accuracy rates.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
• Calculate ProFee levels and recognize critical care cases based on patient acuity
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with ethical coding standards

Required qualifications:

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job coding experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
