Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Organizes and prioritizes work to ensure timely completion of coding tasks and audits medical records for accurate code assignment
• Utilizes ICD-10-CM and CPT classification systems to assign codes while maintaining a coding accuracy of 90% or better
• Maintains relationships with providers and assists in training other coders, while participating in the development of coding policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 1 year of ICD-10 Coding experience in a medical practice (Preferred)
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) certification from AAPC (Required upon hire)
