Certified Professional Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Professional Coder to join their coding team for surgical coding in a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify incomplete documentation and formulate physician queries to obtain missing information
• Assign PQRS codes and assist in developing documentation templates and processes
• Provide training on code selection and investigate reimbursement issues, including denials

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Three years of physician coding experience in the applicable specialty
• Graduate of an approved certified coding program preferred
• Proficient computer skills, with MS Excel knowledge preferred
• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent required
