Certified Professional Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Professional Coder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify incomplete documentation and formulate physician queries to obtain necessary information
• Assign PQRS codes and assist in developing templates and processes for documentation
• Provide training on code selection and investigate reimbursement issues including denials

Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3 years of physician coding experience in the applicable specialty
• Graduate of an approved certified coding program preferred
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Excel preferred
• Certification as CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS-P required
