Job Summary

To ensure accurate and compliant coding practices, the full-time Auditing & Monitoring Specialist will review medical records, perform audits, and provide educational training to healthcare providers in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records for compliance with EM, CPT, and ICD-10-CM coding standards
• Conduct pre-bill and post-bill audits, and provide training to healthcare providers on coding requirements
• Collaborate with the Auditing & Monitoring Team Lead to identify risk areas and enhance coding accuracy

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) is required; Associate degree in Health Information Technology is preferred
• Certified Professional Coder certification is required
• Previous or current long-term care experience is required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding Procedures and HIPAA regulations
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and strong Excel skills
