Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle team, the full-time remote Revenue Cycle Insurance Specialist will manage the reimbursement process for professional services, ensuring timely claims submissions and resolving outstanding balances through effective communication with payors and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Triage invoices and process claims for reimbursement of professional services while adhering to individual payor timelines
• Research and resolve inquiries, denials, and billing issues by collaborating with various departments and communicating effectively with payors
• Verify patient registration information and insurance coverage, ensuring accurate data entry into the automated billing system

Required qualifications

• 5 years of healthcare experience in medical billing or a related field
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required, with completion within 18 months of employment
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Finance, IT, or Education preferred
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology of the most current versions
• Experience with medical systems preferred
