Certified Professional Coder

Job Summary

To support the billing operations, the full-time remote Certified Professional Coder will accurately resolve coding edits, assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding classifications based on clinical documentation, and ensure compliance with billing guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates and resolves coding edits in assigned Epic work queues
• Assigns appropriate coding classifications based on clinical documentation and physician orders
• Communicates with providers and escalates coding trends and educational opportunities as needed

Required qualifications

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist - Physician) certification
• Experience in professional fee coding, including Evaluation & Management (E/M) services
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of physician billing and healthcare revenue cycle
