Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Certified Professional Coder, the ideal candidate will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient records, manage billing and collections, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for various patient types, ensuring accuracy for billing and reimbursement
• Reviews medical records for document deficiencies and ensures accurate reflection of diagnoses and procedures
• Abstracts clinical data post-documentation assessment, meeting regulatory and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC, or AAPC certification)
• At least one year of professional coding work experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software
