Job Summary

To ensure appropriate reimbursement for professional services, the remote Revenue Cycle Insurance Specialist will manage claims submissions, patient registration, and insurance verification while adhering to compliance guidelines and resolving outstanding balances.

Key responsibilities

• Triage invoices and complete processes required for timely reimbursement of professional services
• Research and resolve inquiries from various departments and follow up with payors regarding claims and denials
• Document actions and maintain communication with management to ensure timely resolution of billing issues

Required qualifications

• 5 years of healthcare experience in medical billing or related fields
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and current medical terminology
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Bachelor's in Healthcare, Finance, IT, or Education is preferred
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is required, with completion within 18 months of employment
• Experience with medical systems is preferred
