Job Summary

A company is looking for a Professional Coder II - Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate coding of hospital-based professional services by reviewing medical record documentation
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations through professional literature and continuing education
• Collaborate with team members and provide education to physicians regarding documentation for accurate coding

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of medical coding experience or eligibility for internal promotion
• National coding certification (CPC or CCS)
• Experience in coding physician professional services in a teaching environment
• Familiarity with Medicare Teaching Physician Rules and facility fee services
• Ability to meet performance standards for Level II Coder
